DDFileCatcher v1.0
DDFileCatcher v1.0 info: This is the way to get file paths from Windows as text. When you''re writing a document, and you want to include one or more file paths for files or directories on a computer, it''s time consuming and error prone to type them by hand. For example: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Internet Explorer.lnk.
With DDFileCatcher, just drag files, folders or shortcuts from Windows Explorer, My Computer, or Windows dialogs onto DDFileCatcher and they are converted into the text for full file paths. You can drag or copy files from multiple folders, or, say, select all the files in a folder and copy them to DDFileCatcher.
Listing files in a directory - Select the files you want and drag them to DDFileCatcher.
Converting files to text - Drag drop or copy files, folders or shortcuts and display their long filenames. Get filepaths.
Saving the result of searches - Perform a search with Windows Explorer, select the file using Ctrl-Alt, copy or drag them to DDFileCatcher then save them to a text file.
DDFileCatcher ignores duplicate files dropped onto it and can sort them alphabetically.
Once you''ve got a list of file paths as text, you can copy the list to the Clipboard for pasting into documents. You can also save the list of file paths to a file for later use.
